Are these quests working?

Did the conversation with X'Ta Tempi, in Neriak Foreign Quarter, for the Words of Haunting.

She states that you need 2 dark bone chips from Unrest, an ebon dagger from Mistmoore and a jasper.

The only place that alllah says an ebon dagger drops is in Unrest.

Does anyone know if it does, indeed, drop in Mistmoore?

Well I looked at the Alla page and after reading the three comments, about how the quest was broken when they changed the drop to Unrest from MM, I would put it out there that it possibly works as it did pre-Kunark. However, unless you get confirmation from someone who has done this recently on this server, you are probably gonna have to go find out.

So in summary, it probably does. Go find out :)

That sounds like a pretty crazy amount of footwork for a word that isn't very hard to find. Just my thoughts.

1. Make alts
2. Scour merchants
3. ???
4. Profit!

Unfortunately failed the trivia check.

No idea in what zones they drop. Hopefully this has narrowed it down a bit. Maybe mommas on everfrost plains.

As far as I can tell, research components will drop off of any mob that is at least the level of the spell the research components make. For example: The level 24 necro spell Haunting Corpse requires words of allure. The words of allure will drop off any monster that is lvl 24-29. Some mobs don't drop research components though. The gnolls in paw are one example. Some words are an exception to this too. Words of Burnishing are only used for the lvl 44 necro spell Dead Man Floating but they drop in the 20s.

Also, if you're looking for the lvl 29 necro pet spell that uses words of haunting, you can find that pet spell in a SK guild.

That particular word drops like candy in Solb. Check the merchants in Lavastorm (at the druid ring and also the gypsys).

Was words of the quickening added in some patch? I had a hard time finding them at any vendor when my necro was lower lvl but suddenly a few months ago they seem to be everywhere.

Elesseryl Terussar, in OOT, sells the spell Summon Dead. But I had to get a friend to buy it for me, she wouldn't deal with my kind.
