Sudden FPS issues

P99 has run flawless for me up until last night, I had a automatic windows 10 update and after it finished i logged onto everquest and noticed that my fps in crowded areas had dropped. I get 4-6 fps at EC tunnel now and it's very frustrating since i cant attend raids or anything with more than 10+ people now. I have a gtx 970 2 gig and all of my drivers are up to date. I dont think it has anything to do with my spec but something to do with that stupid update with windows 10. Does anyone have any suggestions to help fix this issue?

Try reinstalling your GPU drivers if you haven't already.

I've had a big fps drop too after the last big windows 10 update. I have a gtx 960, and updating my driver seems to have helped but it still seems like my fps is lower than normal by around half at least.

Yeah it really screwed up my laptop and I had to format and reinstall 10, but then after that it did the update again and it seems to be working fine now.

My desktop had no problems with it - actually got a slight performance boost.

the shitty think about windows10 is that a major update like that will reinstall and change some of your settings back to default. windows conveniently installed about 10 apps i deleted several months ago and turned some of my privacy settings on. so the first thing you should do is go to settings > windows update > advanced options > choose how updates are delivered > OFF. if that doesn't work, go to your NVidia driver and see if those changed.

I was having the same issue but then re-installed the latest patch files for p99 and it fixed the FPS problem for me. try that

One the plus side, I have noticed that I don't have to close/disable f.lux anymore before I load EQ since the Windows 10 patch, which is pretty awesome.

The same thing happened to me guys. It drove me insane for a week straight; until I decided to reinstall EQ. That fixed it for a day or two until the problem came back.

On a whim, I tried deleting my eqclient.ini file. This fixed it, although I had to re-do all my settings and such.
