Growing a Bonsai Tree - need help
I am growing a Bonsai tree at work. I just soaked the seeds for 24 hours, and now I have them in a damp napkin inside a ziplock bag in the fridge. I think you are supposed to leave them in there for 7 days and then plant them.
Are they supposed to start sprouting while in the napkin or no? Does anyone have any experience in Bonsai growing, specifically from one of those little kits for the mini Bonsai's? Question 1 - will it grow inside as long as I get it some sunlight? Question 2 - how much sun does it need? Question 3 - How has the life and death of Harambe affected you in your everyday life? |
do u work and live in a dumpster?

I tried very hard once to put one of these guys

I'm probably more than 20% weaker than my father. But I'm also not an alcoholic and I only abuse ppl here on p99, forums.
That said, best of luck to you spider. You are truly a creative soul and I hope your tree grows into a representation of your weird p99 obsessions |
Depends entirely on what kind of tree it is. I've grown several, although none from seed, I don't have the patience for that shit. If you want a real bonsai you need to plant it in a normal pot and let it grown until the trunk gets some girth then trunk chop it and start to bonsai it anyway.

Yes, the seed will sprout a taproot in the napkin. Plant seed with root facing down.

They are Jack Pine seeds...the actual label saying PINUS banksiana.
Thank Sour - that's what i thought but I still have doubts. The directions show something about pouring warm water on the seeds to get them to start sprouting...they keep using the term 'cold startify' and a quick google search reveals that this is to simulate winter and then spring, and it triggers them to grow. if this is true then I don't think a tap root will grow? |

This thread is at least better than the Chest interview thread, I'm still scarred.
