Crystalline Thread Drop Rate and Amount
 

According to old Zam posts, thread should now be a common drop at the rate of 2-4 per crystal spider. As it is right now it takes upwards of 10 spiders to see a single drop. http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=5934

Currently on live they are stackable (April 2002 patch), doesn't drop every time but multiples do show up and they are fairly common.

Did alot of BETA testing in Velk to prepare for the shawl, and after basically seeing how rare the threads were decided to never attempt this quest

apparently the drop rate gets increased with a patch and then we will see multiple threads drop commonly off most spiders but until then its like 1 thread per 5-8 kills
