In general what classes seem to be in demand group wise and in raids on the server?? I haven't really decided 100% on what I want to roll yet and am curious to know what the demands seem like. tyvvm ;)

There can never be enough Warriors / Clerics / SK / PAL - These classes are always welcome

There is a Huge amount of Mages / Druids / Necros and to some extent Enchanters and Shamans playing currently

You dont see to many Rangers, Bards are also not played AS often, But not as rare as the above level 20 Ranger. Not THAT many Rogues either. Wizards are sort of on the scarce side too.

If you want to roll something that isint played that often then go Ranger / Wizard / Rogue

I'm leaning on going with a tank of some sort again. =D I never really got into DPS classes a whole lot, and healing is just meh. Is it fairly easy to get ahold of a shaman or chanter for buffs?

It is, vumnaydar. Paladins definately lack on this server, as well as active rangers in the end-game.

Azimon 01-27-2011 03:25 AM

Paladins and Shadowknights have a nasty experience penalty, just so you're aware of that =).

Anyways...The rule is, and should ALWAYS be..Play the class you feel like playing, you're not playing this game for others...only yourself.

i wouldn't roll a naked hybrid as my first character. the xp penalty can be pretty brutal and having no gear just makes it worse. watching a naked mage three levels under you solo a mob that would mop the floor with you can be pretty demoralizing.

i would roll a monk. mend is op. you don't need much gear and you'll be able to afford a full set of WUs and EBMs in no time flat. Monks are one of the funnest/most exciting classes end-game. Start in FP. When you hit level 2-3, head to EC and ask a high level mage or druid for a damage shield--you'll be level 10 in 2-5 hours. Around level 9-11 head to WC and hang around the druid ring. Ask high level mages for a damage shield and high level druids for a damage shield, skin like nature, and regen. With the last three in particular you'll blow through reds with little to no downtime and reach level 18 or so in six hours or less.

roll a chanter, solo any camp for ez money, gear up a hybrid tank and level ez

Azimon 01-27-2011 04:07 AM

Monks are really cool, however, not very awesome solo at later levels. In classic monks haven't reached their uber potential..in kunark with fungy tunic..they become awesome.

nemethor 01-27-2011 04:19 AM

yeah chanters are completely OP end game, always in demand thanks to clarity, and incredibly fun.
