It's quite sad to see so many people rely on this game as an escape from real life. Don't get me wrong, I love to get immersed as well, but jesus some of these poor guys (like dallo and swifte) just can't function in society.

It's happening now, I would guess, because GM's are busy and/or proper evidence/petition was recently received. Also, them volunteering to concede wasn't an option because, if I'm not mistaken that rule applies to tracker FTE. Not illegitimate racer FTE. Also, they killed that vulak instead of instantly conceding when called out on illegitimate FTE. But I could be wrong, haven't read those rules in a while.
