Hi all,

Brand new to EQ without any prior experience. Don't know anyone that plays. I'm playing a human monk (lvl 4 as of this post) and looking for a guild that's online during my playtime window between 8am-5pm EST.

Older player, real chill no drama just exploring and being casual.

The kunark experience is better too.

Human monk is viable and wins fashionquest so if you really want human that shouldn't matter *too* much. That being said..Iksar is better. The added regen and AC bonus is really nice for monk.

Playing Iksar as your first ever EQ character will increase your difficulty because you will be hated everywhere and KOS. That being said it can also be somewhat liberating as you can kill most things without worrying about faction. The biggest issue is banking. You can stick around Kunark for a while and just bank at Cabilis until you get things sorted out.

There are things you can do to fix faction in strategic places like North Freeport so you can bank/vendor but this just adds to the difficulty/complexity of a first time experience. Feel free to contact me in game if you have any questions about this.
