Grizzleknot (South Karana)
 

Hail! I've spent the better part of a week trying to locate/spawn Grizzleknot, the foul abomination of a treant, in South Karana (for the Totemic Armor quest). Despite my efforts, he has yet to show his ugly mug anywhere. I've been looking up all the info that I can find and there seem to be two competing narratives: 1) he spawns and paths in an Eastern line from the Centaur Fort, and 2) he spawns and paths in a North-South line from the treants to the hermit hut.

Can anyone who has recently hunted this wretched creature confirm?

I think those paths are pretty accurate. I've spent a LOT of time spawning Quillmane and that's where i've seen Grizz before usually. The problem is figuring out what his PH's are. Doesn't seem to be tied to QM or I think I would've seen him more often.

Ah, so it *is* both/either?

I wouldn't doubt it....QM has 3 different spawn points and paths she takes at random

Have you seen this video? It's old but from P99, I would be weary of trusting any spawn information not p99 specific.

It shows him pathing up right beside the static aviak on the West wall near Groi camp, the same loc that's on his wiki page I believe. I had a tracker toon camped in SK and just spent a few mins trying to pop him for you fbut no luck, a Centaur Faun did stop on that exact loc though (413, 2541).

The wiki also mentions a static centaur between the bridge and paw on the discussion part, I couldn't find it though. Have you found/killed a static centaur?

If I get a chance Ill spend a few min trying again tomorrow.

Yeah he is a static spawn.

I hunted him a few weeks ago. Saw him twice and was east / west both times

I've seen him over near Groi spawn point close to west wall as well. Maybe slightly NE from there.

Awesome, thank you all for your responses -- it seems that Grizzleknot is an elusive menace indeed. He'll need to be purged from the Karanas for the safety of all!
