Guild Summary?
 

I don't want to trouble anyone for time, but I'm a player from 2010-2013 era. Can anyone sum up the current state of guilds in 100 words or less? Feel free to take liberties.

Considering jumping back in which requires joining a guild, etc. Curious what my options are.

join Awakened if you want the most mobs

So nothing has changed except the shifting of the crown from TMO to...

...to Awakened...pretty much. I guess Aftermath gets a good share too, and one of those two will completely dominate for 10 days when the other of those two gets a suspension. Lots more targets now than kunark, lots more raid rules, still plenty of whatever version of poopsocking is en vogue. Some lawyers available to explain raid rules in layman's terms for a fee. CSG and other guilds get some targets, but not often will it be vulak/KT/Tunare or any of the really big merbs.

From what I've learned reading these forums. Consider yourself luck if you find yourself in a guild where upper management isn't totally insane. Pixels do something to these people.. It's a sickness.
Oh sure on the surface they seem calm and ready. But deep down it's all about mom's spaghetti. (having people stare at walls for 23 hours a day waiting for a raid pop. So they can bat phone their army of pixel hoarders.)

But don't take my word for it.. Pick any major raid guild and read between the lines. Or spend a few years checking the forums.

Dial a Port is king, Join them and rule the server!!

Awakened or Aftermath if you want to sacrifice real life health for dragon pixels, Rustle if you wanna be a faux-casual edgelord raider (but cool)

I was in BDA for like 12 seconds when I first joined the server, their politics are insane and I accidentally got caught up in them when I told a guy in CoM to stop being a dick back in 2011. They booted me, fuck you forever stupid BDA officers. I even had screenshots and witnesses, nope. I lose. "Friend of an officer" shouldn't be royalty, but in BDA.. it was.

Then Enraptured, they were nice and like a family. I loved it.

Then TMO, they were nice but a bit intense/fickle. It was okay. Never felt comfortable speaking in guild chat.

Then I helped noobs for two years leading KWSN.

I like helping people, but would be nice to be able to help people who are all 55+.

Does Coeur still play? I want to be like Coeur, one of my long-time friends who I haven't spoken to in years.

TLDR - I want to be a kind raider who helps others.

She has given me a bunch of clutch rezzes. I see her running all over to the most inaccessible zones to Rez people. Super nice. Haven't seen her in a week or two though.
