Enabled Tradeskill Stuff

I would like to know whether the fine, hard-working dev team of p99 is planning to enable some of the tradeskill recipes which didn't quite line up with any of the first two expansions, or whether they are already enabled. Could anyone let me know what the deal is with the following, or if my memory is off and they are post-Velius?

Tarnished and Fine Steel weapon-ore conversion
Ornate chain armor
Firebrand weapons
Silvered weapons
Cultural recipes
Blue diamond cultural recipes

And even though I'm pretty sure my timing is WAY off on these, the Halas 10 lb Meat Pie and Grobb Liquidized Meat recipes. I need to ask because they are the best things ever.

Some of what you mentioned will be added sometime during Kunark. Some during Velious.

They really spread stuff out regarding cultural additions during those two expansions and at times it's really difficult to get accurate information.

IN some case the EQ item id is a good indicator of how late an item was added to the game (or at least the database) but there are some exceptions.

Stat based foods are all Luclin.

What blue diamond cultural recipes are you referring to?

There's an ogre at the west Freeport gate who might disagree. Stat foods are enabled, but most of them are just little more than curiosities at this point.

I was going to say the stuff with the recommended level of 45, but in doing that I've just answered my own question, because I don't think levels on gear appeared until Luclin.

Thanks for the info.

To be honest I have no idea why they left those pickes in the game here. They don't even appear on the Lucy database until 2003 which is 1 year after the database was created.

Anything classic should have been added to the Lucy database on or around 2002-12-22. Coldain pickes for example were added on that date.

Dwarf pickes on the other hand were added on 2003-01-09 which is roughly a month before Legacy of Ykesha was launched.

Long story short, those stat food pickles are not classic and it's a mistake that they are available in Freeport.

who cares ? +1 to anything is certainly not game breaking in any way, besides there's a lot about p99 that isn't classic, add that to the list. Still the best server ever.

Um... I'm not knocking the server at all. I've been here since launch and am not going anywhere. I was just responding to the OP.

That being said I completely agree with you, the +1 stat is far from game breaking and not a high priority thing. ;)

Hmm, odd. I started playing in Fall of 2001 and I do remember the pickle vendor in Freeport when I first saw the city... though I don't remember whether or not they had stats included with them.

Also, I've always had this bizarre urge to make a suit of banded armour completely out of rusty daggers from fishing.

Some Stat Foods were Pre-Luclin

I'm pretty sure of this since i stopped playing before luclin.

Although there weren't too many but I remember my baker (frequent user of eqtraders back then) used to make Stat food, ranging from items that gave +1 wisdom/etc to the halas meat pie as the ultimate stat food.

The pickle vendor with stat food was there from at least 2000 or so.

Ah leveling items. Not sure if I'll be happy or cry over the thought of getting the pieces and making the Earring of Solstice ;)
