New Paladin here.

Hello ladies and gentleman!

Made this forum account ages ago with interest in playing but was too heavily invested in WoW at the time. Now that that game is a former shell of itself I've finally decided to come back and give this a shot now that Velious has been around for a while.

I played as a Barb Warrior from 1999-2004 on Fennin Ro, but decided to change things up slightly here so I'm starting off as a Dwarf Paladin named Rhokzor (Any way I can have my forum name changed to match this?) as I don't really plan on jumping into raids, just some group content.

As far as I understand it, Paladins can solo decently well in certain places. Is this still the case? I'm also at a loss as to how to get some starting cash flow going so I can make a banded suit for myself. Are bone chips, spiderling silks and orc belts still a decent way to get some PP?

If I do plan on raiding regularly at some point, I'd probably roll an alt to something that's more needed. What would you guys say is a class that's hard to find and always needed in a raid? Is it still a good cleric/shaman/bard/enchanter?

Anyways, I know my way around the world, I'm no stranger to tanking and am always up for a party.

Looking forward to grouping with you beautiful people.

Warrior is still tough at low levels without some plat to back them up, but there are a lot of cool people that will help you out. I went with a necro first so I could farm stuff for my alts.
always play what you like and you will never go wrong.

A main paladin is a rare enough. Divine Strength is your calling.

Pally is a pretty rough class to play without decent gear and gear takes some money. I think bone chips and spiderling silks sell for about 1pp per item so about 20pp a stack. A great place to farm them is actually Butcherblock outside Kaladim. In regards to banded armor, I think it costs about 1pp per AC point. You'd probably have enough if you had 100pp. The rarest classes seem to be wizard, pally, and ranger but that is just from anecdotal experience. Ultimately, play what makes you happiest the most. If you want to group, I would stay in Faydwer because that is where the highest population seems to be. Good luck!

Once you get Sword of the Morning and Arbiter's Combine Greatsword, don't sell them to a vendor.
