Returning players.

My wife and I started playing p1999 a few years back. We dropped off, but want to come back. I remember having to go through some kind of process to allow both of us to play at the same time. The problem is, we have switched ISP's since then, and I was wondering if the O.K. to play off the same IP is still in effect, or do I need to submit a new ticket to get our accounts cleared again?

If anyone has been in a similar situation, I would appreciate some insight.

Thanks!

It's in the petition/exploit section. Not sure if you need to, but probably not a bad idea.

Yea, I read through that. None of it touches on the switching of IP's, and that if the current exemption would apply or not.

I guess I could try logging both accounts on, but I sure do not want our accounts being flagged as 2-boxers, or whatever. So just seeing if anyone has been in the same boat, and if at all possible, avoid through more busy work at the the guys running the show (if it is not needed).

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I would guess if you switched ISP's and your IP changed you probably need a new exemption.

Better to be safe than banned.

My understanding is the exemption applies to the accounts, not the IP address.

I would think that a quick IP Exemption post may not be a bad idea, just to ensure your prior exemption still stands. It very well may be.

Not sure how often this forum is checked by those who oversee that type of thing.

I'd rather EverQuest than ForumQuest!
