Book of Vanear ~Bug~

So I went through 8 hours of hell camping that damn book today and I get all the mats to make the book. Then I turn the book into the guy it says your supposed to on zam which supposedly give you a new book of vanear with mana preservation on it, and a 12 level slow for enc. I turned in the book and got nothing but the spell back. Please could I get just the +10 wis +10 mana Book of Vanear back. I was mis informed from Zam please bear with me. I would really appreciate the last 8-10 hours of my life not being utterly pointless.

I had to read this a couple times to figure out what you meant.

So... here's the allakhazam page as it currently exists

Emphasis mine. The first bold text is where you should have stopped, as you can tell that at the end of the quest you only get a spell scroll. This isn't a bug and you weren't misinformed. The quest text on allakhazam has not changed. If anywhere, this should go in the petition forum because you're asking a GM to reimburse your mistake, but I wouldn't bother wasting their time.

Dude I spent 10 hours on this damn thing and check Zam it's totally miss informed on Zam it says you get the book and the spell.

I beleive zam says something like "Quest Rewards: Testament of Vanear, Scroll"

If you didn't read the whole quest text, I hate to say it bluntly, but it is your fault.

Always double check with other players when in doubt.

Erudite already had the book. He tricked you into getting him another one and apologized.

Well on zam it says you get a new testement of vanear with the scroll so I guess ill just camp it again, doubt a gm will help me no matter how much I wish so.

This totally sucks man but what you have to realize it that this quest was written to trick you. It has tricked many a player back on live and it has tricked players here as well. This probably isn't the last time some one will make this mistake.
