Solar Eclipse 2017

Anyone going to view the Solar Eclipse today?

If by "view" you mean rig up a cardboard box with a couple holes, some tin foil, and a whole lot of tape (wrapped in a towel), and then look at the resulting tiny silhouette ... then yes.

its literally passing over my house in TN I don't have to go anywhere to enjoy it.

I used one of my darker welding helmets. Only got partial here but it's still pretty cool to look at a big rock in front of a giant ball of molten metals and gases.

It was neat I guess. The pup was a little confused.

The partial was pretty underwhelming. I probably have some eye damage now, too.

thought it kinda neat how it didn't really look like actually sunlight. I didn't look at the sun itself, but the quality of light felt artificial. was interesting ^^

Full eclipse in SC, that was cool, for all of two minutes or so.

Used a welding mask to see it. Was neat when everything had a tint to it at the peak. Was around two thirds coverage in Houston. Would do again, 10 of 10.
