Rolling up a bard.. Suggestions?

Here I am sitting at the warden camp in guktop waiting for him to spawn for the troll hide belt. I was wondering on gear suggestions for bard. Should I focus just on main STR and slight STA basically? And are there any gear suggestions? I'm actually trying to camp as much as I can of his gear, just for fun to have something to do.

Bards aren't very gear or stat dependent, but Sta is definitely more important than Str. Dex and Charisma are also more important.

I've yet to test how dependent Bard charm/lull is on charisma (I've always just had medium-high Cha and it's worked out pretty okay, but haven't often tried when i have no gear on) but that's something you might want to look into when allocating your stats.

I'm a newb bard but I always thought they needed/wanted high charisma for charms.

I wouldn't waste your starting points on Charisma. Too easy to up. I say mix. Give a little strength, stamina, and dexterity. Toss like 5 in Charisma if you can't bear to go without.

best advice i can give you is delete your bard and roll a ranger. they are completely overpowered right now.

Since my bard was my first (and still only) character I can say that not having any str was a bit of a problem at lower levels because even with banded I could only carry very little as a girly hal-elf before having to run to bank. I remember being happy about getting a Hero Bracer because it made it easier to carry stuff around lol. Getting a couple of 100% wr bags helped out a lot too. That said, since this isn't going to be your first character it's probably not that big of a deal and I wouldn't worry about str too much. I would divide points between dex/cha/sta.

Put your points into stamina because if this is going to be your main character then it's the only stat you will end up wishing you had more of once your level 60 and raid geared.

If you don't really care about the character then I guess strength.... because it will end up being a bank mule. :p

Guineapig, says the same about ENCs, STA. From what i'm hearing the poor chap isnt being PLed by Guildies so he can Raid. Sounds like he will be in pick up groups, in odd zones. So from that I'd say your going to be getting invites to groups for CC. CC means you need the Highest CHA . Seeing the server is over a year old. There is Tons of CHEAP Lamb Armor. Get that.

Don't think CHA affects anything except charm.

Bards are not enchanters, their mez isn't charisma based.

Also it doesnt matter if he's not getting power-leveled. End game is end game no matter how long it takes you to get there. You put 20 points into charisma and it will be completely useless to you by level 60... hell it will be useless at level 50. Also don't forget that bard charm caps at like level 51 forever!
