Chardok revamp - a few questions

The following are questions or needed information to complete the revamp of Chardok.

1. Respawn time of sarnak spy - I couldn't find this information anywhere.

2. Bridge traps as they were in 2001 - Any research and/or recollections about these.

Internet research and/or testing on live (where applicable) would help a lot. Will add more questions as needed, but the zone looks great (props to Telin).

Thanks!

Is there a reason to think it's any different than the normal Frontier Mountains respawn time? I've seen several people mention the angry goblin's 3-day respawn, but haven't seen anything that would suggest the sarnak spy has a non-standard one.

This is huge. Chardok revamp will be huge for the server. It's beyond our imagination. You can't even say how great it's going to be. We WILL open trade negotiations with the Royal family.

This was my initial thought on it. Cant find any comments about his spawn time, so would assume it was standard FM spawn time, but more research would be preferred

from 2004:
"...disarm trap will work on the traps in chardok, it may take a couple tries though"

from 2006:
"On chardok bridge leading to Prince area , has 2 traps at either end of the bridge. Just stand in middle and spam sense trap. Got 200 in about 4 hours, just last night. I noticed how the new trap system is supossed to work, sense trap with point you in direction, creep forward sense again, repeat until you see it(also setting it off and taking damage will allow you too see it too), then use the reveal trap ability to tempoarily disarm it , move in close then disarm."

from 2006:
"Additional Edit:
Ok I went to Chardok where I know are a couple of traps, for some reason all the traps I used to be able to disarm are now different, cant disarm them any longer however if you get to -520 750 -156.81 there is a trap under the bridge that you can target and practice disarm trap on and sense trap of course."

...will look harder for pre-2002 notes

Not useful stuff, admittedly, but I can take my cleric down there on live to see what's up.

We know what the traps do on live now, but seems to have changed at some point based on earlier descriptions.

Nice didn't know this was in the works.

Just go ahead and skip the monk triple attack though, they're OP enough already.

Seems like there was just one trap there with a long respawn time ....that had a stun on it?

"Go past the Guard Captain spawn, past the Ancient Gatekeeper spawn dont take bridge to right to royals go straight over the bridge which has a DD stun trap on it to make pulling over it a pain and set up camp in the alcove facing the Koro room."

"So he followed me down, he disarmed the trap on the bridge entrance to main castle,"

Not sure if these help any, couldn't easily find any 2001 references, I'll try some other sources later...

2003 newsgroup references:
Quote:

Any of the 3 ways into the "Castle" from (A) funnel to the same place, so I
don't think that would be the difference. Do any of those 3 paths skirt
the ( debuff? ) trap? Where the hell =is= that trap? Do you remember,
TwoHead? I never saw it when we did your Chardok raid, I just remember
"seeing" it go off and Heebs not being real happy about it.
Quote:

Since we went to the Prince I'm pretty sure we didn't go that way to
bypass him <g>. Trap seemed to be out in that open area where the three
paths come together. I know the way we went we didn't set it off, just
the puller clearing in front of us from the sound of it.
Quote:

Were they refering to things such as traps? I am max ally, and the traps
still hit me. They are just objects on the ground that hit <whoever>,
regardless of faction standing
Quote:

At A, there is only one way into the castle. The 2 side windows are above
the deep pit (not particularly high, but its more than jump range), the
centre doorway is where you run in (theres a trap round here). Its been a
while.. I think the trap is a small dd and a dispell, but I could be wrong.
Quote:

The last raid, we took the right side entrance via Lev and climbing the
wall to the east of it. If there's no real reason to ( like avoiding the
trap which doesn't seem possible ), then we'll go up the gut if we fight
in.
Quote:

As for the trap, we did avoid it going that way but I don't think thats
the primary reason we used that route. The puller was hit by the trap
when someone not with our raid repeatedly triggered it as I recall,
Ziggy may be monitoring this and can perhaps recall this detail better
since I think he gave the guy some crap for doing it so many times.
Quote:

Okay, good to know. I remember Heebs getting smacked by it repeatedly -
now I know why.
