Mage air pet and weapon
 

Hello, I noticed that the mage air pet goes invisible as soon as it is summoned and immediately after a fight which makes close from impossible to actually give him any weapon, any mage here who bumped into the issue ? thanks

i think u can use see invis on yourself and see your pet.. that might help with giving him a weapon but i can see it being annoying

Can't you just F1 twice to target him and then hand the weapon to the target ring?

ever think to give it to him during the fight?

Pets wont accept weapons while in combat.

At least I've never been able to, maybe I just suck at the aim-and-click.

I can't remember if this is true... did they change this? Cause they used to accept weapons while in combat, maybe not anymore. dunno

But yeah you can see invis yourself and you'll see your air pet.

You should always use see invis when using an air pet...

Hi Guys, thanks for your replies. From my experimentation, it is not possible to give a weapon when pet is fighting but what you can do is press BACK on the pet window and just before it dispears you can click on him to hand him a weapon. That trick requires a bit of practise. Once you have See Invisible at level 16 you will be out of trouble.

In original EQ pet did not use to cast their self buff immediately. Also the Air pet use to have a faster attack speed animation in original EQ, you could clearly see the difference with other pets.

Anyway I am glad I have found that little p1999 gem, classic EQ rules, I donated and will donate again, long live to p1999.

Pets do not accept trades during combat.

You have to use See Invisible with an Air pet. I'd suggest just using Water, he's better anyway!
