Playing with the UI
I've been playing around with the UI trying to get a feel for what is the most classic/authentic looking right now, and no matter what I've done so far, something has felt missing no matter what downloads I've used and which UI I've had active.. I realize now what the problem is.
The text area is a see through box, or a solid color box. So tell me, is there any way to have the user interface with the chat box looking like a piece of parchment paper, much like the picture from Mul's signature about "not being a kleat." Having the parchment would be the cherry on top of this experience. Anyone have a patch, some info or a giant god button that could get a hapless newb like me some chat parchment. |
right click the chat bar. Window > Background > texture (on or off). It will add a layer of texture instead of just a plain colored box. You can also tint it different colors with the texture on. Id say use a bright color with the textures on cuz they darken the color you chose.
And I think EQinterface.com has some skins you could find, but whether or not individual peices will work on emu, I dunno. I did, however, use the t. king necro skin cuz skulls are win. |
Thanks for the info! I'll look into those skins. For now my chat box looks like dark marble, which suits me just fine.

I was searching around for the original UI as well and I found it on EQInterface.com. I tested it and it works well. Just follow the creator's instructions for installation.
