Will beta server stay around?
 

Just curious if the beta server is going to stick around a long while? With things like 500% bonus XP, boxing, etc. it may appeal to a decent amount of players who are into that thing (hell, we get a new thread on how we NEED boxing here and how beneficial it would be about every other week it seems). This might be able to be a long-lasting server where people who are into boxing and such can have fun in the classic world while also help test out things like raid encounters and such before they hit live?

Doubtful. It's for beta testing. Usually they put it up when something massive needs tested, in lesser cases it's closed to the public.

I imagine the beta server will need to be utilized for Velious development!

Right, BETA testing. They are always implementing new things..wouldn't it make sense to keep the beta server up?

If they left it up, people would try to play there rather than test. It would detract from the actual P99 server. That's not the goal of a beta server. If they wanted a second server with 500% exp bonus and boxing, they would just start a new one.
