Moving to LA

As a fat person, am i in for a rude awakening?

Kavious 02-25-2018 09:52 PM

No one should care

This is a great question. I'm assuming you're moving to Los Angeles and not Louisiana.
I'm from Los Angeles, and it is easiest there if you are good-looking and have money. It's easier if you have one or the other, and it's easy there if you don't care what other people think about looks or money.

To keep this in the realm of p99 and forum appropriate: A fat man in LA is like an ogre in South Qeynos, if he has money (BiS gear) he'll stand a chance, of sorts, to realize his dreams. Without it, he's just a dead man walking.

you'll be invisible among the robots

Arakash is on the mark. But LA is a huge city and where you lives counts. Further east inland people get less chic

Change your moving plans if at all possible

If you live on the west side, get out a leotard and join a yoga studio. It will be required for you to drink raw juiced kale and not throw up after.

If you live on the east side, grow lots of body hair, buy gold chains, dont shower and hang out with all the Armenians in Monterey Park. Their food gets +1.

If you live over the hill (also know as 'the valley') you'll need a soccor mom wife, 2.3 kids and a minivan. Kiss your gaming days goodbye as you slip into middleagedom (also known simply as 'death')

In L.A. nobody makes you feel bad, because nobody cares. Welcome.
