Efreeti War Bow Drop Rate off Noble Dojorn
 

Hey guys,

I've been camping Noble Dojorn (on the red server) for the last 6 months in an attempt to get an Efreeti War Bow. During the first few months, we figured that we killed roughly 40 Dojorns, (a generous window, considering the following facts) a 4 month window, both 3 day and 7 day pops, until the end of January. That's when I started logging actual kills. We've killed 40 in the last 2 months and 1 week. We have not seen a bow after these kills:

I'm reaching out to the community, blue and red, to help me with drop rates on the Efreeti War Bow. We've gotten many copies of each weapon, and I've geared a few toons of my own with Golden Efreeti armor and Wind Etched Armor of Ro. I want to say that something has happened regarding the drop rate on the bow, and is worth looking into. Even a 2% drop rate on the bow shouldn't allow 80+ Dojorns (and possibly 100+, a shame I wasn't tracking from 10/17 on) to die without a bow dropping.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! Please ignore any standard red flames!

I'm loving that you posted data on your drops instead of just griping, bravo! Unfortunately when I was researching raid mob drop rates I only came across a few Dojorn kills, no where near enough to determine effective drop rates on items.

I'll see if I can find any specific mentions on the rarity of this bow.

I would contest this statement. if there is a 2% drop rate you still have about a 20% of never seeing a bow with 80 kills. With 100 kills you still have a 13% chance of never seeing one. I wouldn't call this out of the realm of possibility.

Unfortunately I just think its because of his massive loot table. Similar circumstances to not seeing a particular item off of Vulak for a long time period

Is there a Vulak drop on blue that has only dropped once or twice since Velious launched? Velious has been open for roughly 120 weeks, and I'm pretty sure everything has dropped at least twice.

Vulak's table is also much larger than Dojorns, since Dojorn has limits on what his drops can be: 0-2 efreeti weapons, 0-2 efreeti armor/wind etched armor, 0-2 class specific sky drop. All of Vulak's 24 items are competing with each other for the % chance to drop, and should be capping out at 4%. There are only 14 efreeti weapons (including efreeti belt), so I doubt there should be a lower than 6% chance of any item dropping over a sustained period.

Either way, I'm not worried about the drop rate of the bow during the length of the server. There are plenty of Windstrikers on the Red server. I'm worried that something happened during one of the more recent patch to throw the Efreeti War Bow drop rate off, either completely or partially, and now we have a drop rate that is much lower than actually intended by the devs.

On live we didn't have a myro dagger drop until 2004-2005.
That's a couple years worth of killing a mob every week and not seeing a drop.

It took over a year for the second Gharns to drop from Vulak on blue. Its just RNG and you had bad luck is my guess.

After 49 (+/- 40 more betwenn mid Oct and 1/26) a bow finally dropped for us! Huge pickup!

Is this an anomoly? Or should we all be expecting a 1/90 drop rate? YOU DECIDE! Let me know if my petition is an outrageous claim or classic as can be!

2nd Noble i ever killed droped the bow. Now if i can get the dam pearl off Eye, i will have a windstriker!
