Is awful. Why is Rose in the movie at all? She’s awful. Why did they go to the casino planet? That entire plot arc was awful and unwatchable. Why did they build snoke up to be this powerful badass and just throw him away like that with zero explanation? Why did they treat Luke’s character the way they did? Why did Leia pull that Superman bullshit and not expect my entire theater to start giggling. Dumb. This whole movie is dumb. What is Rian Johnson thinking? Also why the fuck didn’t his parents spell Ryan like a normal human being?

Also WHY does admiral holdo look like she’s straight out of a tumblr lesbian fan club at a community college?

Didn't they switch writers? I thought I read a review that the new writer went a different direction on a number of things making them pointless and dumb.

Luke was less of a "Return of the Jedi" tough-guy and more of a "New Hope" whiny beta.

Honestly I'm surprised no one has mentioned my biggest question about the movie: if ramming your ship into another ship is such a fantastic strategy, why hasn't any space fleet in any of the previous seven movies ever used it? They've been in just as desperate situations, where magically being able to produce a nuclear-power-level weapon that can obliterate their enemies would be handy, but for some unexplained reason none of them decided to just drive into the opposing space fleet.

Either no one in the entire Star Wars universe ever had the imagination to turn a ship into a weapon, or one of the final major plot points just makes no sense.

I liked it when they failed and got caught
