It's super unclassic that mobs that don't have a dragon sized char model can drop under the world or go through walls without despawning.
On live if you pushed a none dragon sized mob into a wall it would despawn/reset.
I would post links but that would open up research for other nerfs.

you can easily ruin anyones ring war just pull the npc @ Thurg ent to the river by giants and die, soon as he engages you lose
