link items-shared bank-drop money
 

I don't get it I don't remember being able to link items on the traditional EQ but the things we could use like dropping money or shared bank they aren't doing....makes no sense to me at all. how can I request this!?

Shared bank is post-Velious.

Dropping money is a limitation of the Titanium client, i believe.

I don't know about item linking.

I understand the other stuff but linking items was not allowed in classic...so how bout allowing the other stuff...transferring money would be the best thing

I believe item linking is just a part of the titanium client as well (or the devs can't / don't care to remove it at this point). I would also love to have shared bank slots.

Disabling money drops is to do with logging trades and helping Inspector Braknar (and pals) keep the server healthy and happy ^^

(this is also why Lucky the Beggar is never very lucky, you have to put it in his hands not in a hat on the ground)

Item linking is definitely part of the client... But they could probably strip the message from the link and leave only the name if they wanted to...

Edit:also while link was not classic I am not sure when it was added, it might have been with luclin... No idea....

The admins here have commented on item linking before. They're well aware it's not classic but left it in because they wanted to. Their project, their choice.

Roaming mobs used to pick up dropped items from the ground too making drop trades even more dangerous. I remember accidentally dropping some plat in classic and one of the guards said something to the effect, 'ohhh look what I found' and it was gone. Made me a sad newb.

wow I vaguely remember this too. Not sure if its a real memory though.

It's been confirmed classic, and I think a dev even hinted that it was coming in a future patch.
