windows 98 and xp

I see the titanium edition of Eq uses the 98 or xp platforms. This being the case if I have vista can I still install this? Also buying the game used seems to be sketchy. Has anyone bought the game used? I could forsee problems possibly if they already made a account.

thanks

Yes you can use it on Vista, I use it on Windows 7. Buying the game used is fine because you won't be using any CD keys here, unless you want to play on Live servers.

Hmm that being the case is there a site anyone knows of where I can just download it?

Due to legal reasons, that kind of information can not be divulged on the forums. As with all software, you might be able to find an illegal copy.

However, SOF is "lightly supported", and can be bought at amazon for $15:

As far as I know, the only classic zone that had trouble was HighPass. It'd be nice if SoF would be supported more since Titanium is no longer sold (to my knowledge, atleast), but I understand the issues with supporting two different clients.

My suggestion is to not ask that question on these forums, but at your local neighborhood search engine. You might also want to look in-to rent-ing the downloads.

I believe many people get the client from the same place they get their digital music from (whether that is Amazon or another supplier).

Look through your music supplier's catalog and you will most likely be able to find a games section.

They had it at a more old-school computer shop in my city and it was like 15$. I kinda like having the actual game in a new box, and the fact that I was probably the only person that year who bought a physical copy of EQ.

At the top of this page, there is a blue bar. In this blue bar is a button called "Search". Click it. Use it.

If you can't figure out how to obtain a copy, then you're probably SOL.
