Experience gains question

If a dark blue mob at say, L49, gives you 1000 xp, does that same mob still give 1000 xp at L54, if it is still dark blue?

I ask because someone commented in game that you don't get the full xp value of mobs more than 5 levels below you.

If a mob cons dark blue at 49 and 54 it will give the same amount of XP to both. But obviously the 54 needs much more XP per level. So a 49 might notice a tick but the 54 might not.

The range of mobs that con blue scales as you level

The penalty for fighting lower level mobs may come from the same page but lower down:

https://wiki.project1999.com/Game_Me...ement_by_Level

"If the mob is light blue or green, the xp earned will be 50%, 25% or 0% of the stated value."

The person you spoke to may have got the definition of being 'light blue' as >5 levels lower than you.

So a mob that gives 1000 XP normally would only give 500, 250 or 0 XP if 'light blue', green or green.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the exp per mob depend on the highest level PC in the group?

So, if you're in a group and the mobs all con dark blue to you, but they con light blue to the highest leveled member in the group, the exp the group gets would only be 50%, correct?

We had a situation in CoM last night where two of our members insisted on staying at the stables, although half the mobs were light blue to the higher level members in our group and the exp wasn't great anymore. We moved to the arena, cleared it with time to spare, made better exp than the stables, yet the two members of our group were unhappy that we weren't killing as many mobs as at the stables.
