Is rogue camping allowed?
What I mean by this is on live people would run rogues (usually level 1 halflings) to key spawn locations 24-48 hours ahead of spawn schedule to "claim" a spawn.
Since rogues can sneak, and pick locks it's rather easy to work your way to a spawn location whereas most other classes would need to fight their way down or rely on a constant series of spells to keep themselves hidden. What I'm asking is, is it breaking the camp rules to park a rogue and rotate them until a NPC is able to be killed? For example I stay hidden in Drez room in Najena, I'm not afk but as a melee class not in the 50's I have no chance of soloing her, is it fair game to keep active at the keyboard at the spawn point and consider this camp claimed if I'm waiting for guild assistance in a few hours? |
no, cant take the camp, cant hold it ..

this is no raid target ... if you cant hold the camp someone else can walz in and take it ..

15 level 1 rogues could hold a camp.

The idea of 1 lvl 1 rogue trying stake claim to a camp is absurd. Even if it were a rule that your lvl 1 rogue could sit at drez all day and it rightfully be yours I dont think anyone would honor it, and no one would feel bad when they pull her over you.

And it most def does not apply to raid targets here, because the raid target belongs to the guild that first has 15+ members there buffed and ready to engage the target.

If you cant kill it with your present force you cant claim it as far as I am concerned.
It is unfortunate that I cannot solo a lvl 35 mob at lvl 50 but if you write the rule any other way then it just opens the door to way too much hanky panky. (example: someone kiting Lodizal while they clearly can't kill it.) |
