He did. Officially I think there's some interviews out there that mention it, but I can't point you to any specifically.

Unofficially my cousin used to be a Star Wars Galaxies GM, and she dated an EverQuest GM (this was back when SWG was new, so maybe Luclin/PoP era?) It was common knowledge there at SOE that certain celebrities played; Robin Williams was just the only one I can remember, but there were several famous athletes and others too.

Also that's how I know he played a wood elf ranger, even though I don't think that particular detail has ever been in an interview.

Curt Schilling played EQ too. It's sad his RPG company went under. He actually made a damn fine game.

Totally; I'm pretty sure he was one of the other celebrities mentioned (but I'm terrible at names and not huge on sports so I only remembered Robin Williams).

yeah he was. he was a cool dude even though he played sports.
