Is your mouse not displaying item names?

Just a friendly heads up to all of you out there - I started to have the issue of item names not displaying when I put my cursor over them in inventory. Someone suggested I manually update windows. I did. Now it works.

Not promising 100% results, but hey, if you're having this problem too... go manually update your windows. You're welcome! Stay classy P99.

This is usually caused by having your computer on for 27 or more days without a restart

I thought that might be the case as well. So I did restart but it did not fix it. But it was fixed after manual update. So I guess:

1) Restart
2) If not fixed, manually update windows

It's a really weird fix, you need to restart your computer. Not power off/on, but restart.

Yeah, restart works. Had this issue many times.

I'll try manually updating windows, thanks. This happened to me a few days ago; I followed everyone's advice and restarted my computer (3x) and still having the issue.

with Windows 10 a "shutdown" is no longer the same as a "restart". Windows 10 has a fast boot option that doesn't fully restart the computer when you choose "shutdown".

for troubleshooting or fixing issues "restart" is the best option.

I'd echo that 100%, weird as it is... a restart has always fixed it for me.
