when i combine 8 bone fragments in the Grotesque mortar and pestle, and create a Powdered Bone, I also get the message "You cannot pick up a lore item you already possess." This does not prevent me from completing the quest. Just a quest related cosmetic issue.

Couldn't replicate this issue.
