Tried to kill me. Failed when I wiped the floor with him.

Dark Men of Odus confirmed weak and useless.

Avoid.

you were lvl 14, and i was level 8, and you engaged me in open combat. Yet you are telling me im ganking lowbies and to add insult to injury you talked shit in ooc, and are here in this thread talking shit on an in game mechanic.

It really just feels like it's slander at this point. I have your snips. if you'd like.

That’s the funny thing, because the only person I casted on was red con to me and I didn’t kill anyone, I wanted to see what you folks would say to me.

If you really were level 8, it was your guildmate that attacked because there were two of you. I’m guessing it was you that ran and hid behind the wall. your guildie opened up on someone walking in to hand in a quest like some dirt at and then you justify it under some Dark men of odus role play.

In my fictional scenario above you get upset over me doing what your guildmate did. So you’re a hypocrite as well in a guild with a bunch of grieving jerks.

It ain’t slander, it’s just the truth.

Phaezed-Reality 11-04-2019 06:51 AM

Sir, am but just a new member of this guild, but i cannot take this slander. You where very rude to the Dark Men of Odus, normally I would not even bother with engaging you but this slander will not stand.

Here you are being extremely disrespectful and that's not even the worst of it since I don't want someone who is just turned around on the issue at hand get banned.

Here i am now currently lvl 10, I was 8 when you engaged me in open combat. I don't understand why you are coming here to slander this guild and I believe you to have ulterior motives. Searching the scrolls has taught me to watch for Antonicans like you.

Edit: as you conning something red, in your feeble antonican state you must have clicked something else.

I think it's really, really funny how the actual EQ players totally fucking love this guild and instantly understand it and what it's all about.
And then there's a bunch of assholes who... don't.

That being said, I have met your ilk across the land, and their suppositions about the Children of Zek are nothing short of ill-founded. The Crakneks and the Greenblood Knights may be simpletons, but the Shamen of War are not to be trifled with. I hope these suppositions can be rectified, for I highly respect the bellicose and superior attitudes of the Dark Men of the western continent as they are very Zekian indeed. The lesser races should know their place, and the Sons and Daughters of Erud are certainly not lesser.

The ogres are not inept in battle and have the blessings of many spirits.

I have felt privileged at times to gain their blessings in exchange for my enchantments of protective mists.

While grateful in their exchanges, their stench is unbearable. I find it amusing when our common enemies must face them at close range.

I have sought answers in deep meditation to tell if their civilization can recover from the curse set upon them. Visions may not always adhere to the twists of fate, and the following shall remain to be seen:

Quote:

With the success of the Tunarian campaign of giants, orcs and ogres, Warlord Murdunk was visited by Eriak Zek who suggested he set his sights on The Planes

His initial invasion failed and it is said that Eriak Zek was forced from the Plane of Earth. Rallos Zek was not content to wait for Eriak to rebuild his strength so he used two famous Orcs (Tallon/Vallon) who joined Rallos and Murdunk in a second invasion

This second attempt was so successful they even captured some of the Council of Rathe and Rallos Zek attempted to claim the Plane of Earth as his own (which failed and permanently scarred/disfiguired Rallos due to the earthern wards that protected the Plane of Earth)

Though despite this loss, some of the council were captured. It was then, in the landscape that would be known as Mountains of Rathe, they were executed. This led to two important events:

1) The Barrier to the Planes of Power was raised preventing mortals access

2) All the Zek and Rallosian armies were cursed by the Gods (whether or not the goblins were anxefan prior to this is, we don't know)

Tallon and Vallon begged for aid from Rallos who brought them into his plane to escape the curse. He tore the escence of Eriak and used it to elevate Tallon and Vallon to demi-god status

The majority of tunarian giants had their home in the northlands (permafrost) and suffered the curse, save the Kromzek who fled across the ocean to Velious

The ogres abandoned their fortress of Krithgor and settled in the Feerott. Some remained in Butcherblock. The simplicity of the structures of Oggok would denote they were already cursed by the time they arrived there

This all happened just before Erollisi travelled to the northlands and gave birth to the first barbarians ~ 4500 AN - 4600 AN

Now... my vision jumps to the future

The veil of Veeshan began to fade and the mortals gained access to the Plane of Sky (i believe mistmoore was involved in this)

Teir'Dal with the aid of the Scroll of G'harn led to communing with Innoruuk and accessing the Plane of Hate

Then a group of hooded figures seeking a lost God of Knowledge got aid from Quellious to access an area of the Plane of Knowledge (Tanaan). This then led to the other planes and, eventually, Zebuxoruks new prison, the Plane of Time

Following the events of the releasing of Zebuxoruk. In one reality, the events of the Planes of Power were reversed and the Gods abandoned their followers. Unhappy with the results of the Planes of Power campaign by Mortals, Solusek Ro and Rallos Zek planted a strange device on Luclin and it shattered the moon into pieces causing massive calamities across norrath

During this time the curse dropped on the Ogres as the Gods vanished (out of fear) and their intelligence slowly began to return.
So it may come to pass that the gods are defeated within their realms, and the ogres freed from their curse. What that means for us all, is not clear beyond this.

you have gleamed much wisdom from the scrolls brother.

Nirgon 11-04-2019 11:05 AM

I lurk deep in knowledge, brother.

Waedawen 11-04-2019 11:17 AM

I, too, am very learned with the history of many peoples of Norrath and the history of the planet itself. It pleases me greatly that you act not out of ignorance but out of rigorous study and contemplation. "... for Knowledge is the greatest quest of all." as so eloquently put by one enterprising man.

While I do not speak on behalf of all Ogrekin, I speak primarily on behalf of the very (very) few blessed Shamen along with some of the most inscrutable Greenbloods who have retained some relative wit. The Crakneks are hopeless and suitable only as fodder - a task they are quite suited for, I'm sure we are agreed. The mistress Marda goes as far to make such jokes herself and she is a Master of our Guild.

At any rate, I am pleased you see the merit of further continued alliance between our races. Even if we are beastly savages and you are disgustingly frail and weak. Where the Ogre is strong in Spirit and Body, the Dark Ones are just as powerful in Magic and Mind. Both are equally skilled at War. I greatly look forward to meeting more Westerners on a more amicable, if not apprehensive, relationship.

And again, you are very much mostly correct about the Ogre race. Most are simpletons who have no skill or nuance and are only attracted to brute strength. But there are a very, very few among us who have shirked the more powerful effects of the Curse. And woe betide the other races who ignored us during this stupor when, or if, the curse slacks.
