Affording spells???
 

It's hard enough on 1x exp, how is everyone doing it @ 10x exp? I'm level 8 and could only afford a single level 4 spell so far.

Gotta grind cash from green mobs. Get out there and find those cracked staffs.

I don't think you'll have as much trouble as you think with regular XP. 10x XP makes it so fast you don't acquire as much crap to vendor to get to your next spell set. Also you shouldn't be able to afford every single spell. Make some choices. Decaying skeletons drop cloth though and thats always like 1g at least. Mobs with weapons too always good. 2Handers even better.

10x experience is actually EQ hard mode. Casters can't afford spells and melee can't keep up with skills.

Negative I shredded skeletons for Max loot and Max skills by the time I was level 6 from skarabs I had almost max 1hs 1hb and 2hs on ranger and 6 bags I had looted from skellies and had about 4 stax none chips and had a full set of cloth armor except the shoes and had like 15pp from weapons like cracked staff.

You guys can figure it out. Best game.

On my necro erudite I kill skeleton and kobold they both drop weapon, bags so far I bought all my level 1 spells and all level 4 except 2 at level 5 I also have useless cloth cap x4 to bring to the skelly at paineel entrance. so kill humanoid mobs and you should be ok kill animals and you are much further behind

Paineel shouldnt be in the game as it didnt come out till feb of 2000
