This is my first time playing Everquest since the original Kunark release. I have a level 8 gnome necromancer.

So far, getting around Ak'anon has been fine - except for the one guy outside under the cargo clockwork who kills me if I get too close, and the tailoring merchant in the hut nearby, who won't trade with me.

I'd like to buy a large sewing kit from the merchant, but I can't figure out how to improve his opinion of me. He's definitely not on Gem Choppers faction, because I've killed hundreds of kobolds and his dubious response hasn't changed.

How do I find out what faction he's on? The merchant is https://wiki.project1999.com/Freed_Fimplefur

If he's on Merchants of Ak'Anon the easiest way to raise it requires a trip to Erudin -- if he's on Deep Muses you can only raise that by killing Kritch Fritchoff (a guildmate of yours) in Unrest.

Also you can ask someone to buy you one! I did in Everfrost, because those merchants did not have high opinions of me either. :o
