Bull smasher is 50x more op than this and you can get it before lvl 5

Now that’s game breaking!

The bull smasher not only doesnt come close to the dmg output of this weapon but it also isnt even a magic weapon, so the bull smasher cant even hit willowisps and other magic creatures like it, not even comparable items

The need for magic weapons is kinda overstated at this stage. I believe the only mobs you will run into that are immune are wisps and ghouls? Magic weapon certainly preferred, but not necessary. So I agree. The Bull Smasher is far more useful to far more people than a Paladin only 2H Slash. Neither are game breaking in any way.

Sir Faedoli proved himself a brave and noble paladin and won the harpoon!!

Not enough people play Paladins for this to matter, and the ones who do honestly deserve the help imo.

Being able to obtain the Deepwater Harpoon at ridiculously low level is classic. It's actually a bit harder to obtain on P99 than it was in the original game. Classic shouldn't only mean taking stuff away from people.

It counts as 14/40 from level 10 until level 20, which is strong for the level but not exactly going to rock anybody's world given it's still a Paladin (with Paladin hit tables) swinging it. 18/40 is very nice during the early 20's but it's level-appropriate by the mid/upper 20's and thoroughly ho-hum by the mid 30's. Far from being game-breaking, even mid-level Paladins will mostly want to replace it with things like Ghoulbane or Man-o-War.

Classic is the Paladin's time to enjoy his class at the (relative) strongest it'll ever be, and having access to many of the best weapons for the era is part of the fun of it. Let them have their fun. The actual "OP" classes (hello, Enchanter) will continue doing their thing long after Paladins have fallen by the wayside.

Give it a week and Mithril 2handers will begin being sold and they are way better

100% this. So many people worried about "balanced" gameplay. Its not balanced. Its not going to be balanced. Ever.

Gratz to the guy who got it! Very cool.
