Blue + Green Name Merging
 

Sorry if this has been answered, I read through a bunch of posts and couldnt find it.

If I decide to reuse a blue character's name on green (which I can do because its the same account). What happens if/when the servers are eventually merged?

Will one character overwrite the other? Will I have the option to rename one? Will one character name just get some bogus random characters appended?

Basically what I'm getting at, is it a bad idea to reuse my blue names on green?

Also, what happens if I have the max amount of chars on blue and then they merge my green chars on to blue?

This one adds it to a 9th+ character, and only becomes selectable if you delete one of the characters above it.

Edit select, able? /shrug

So I guess I better make all my chars on fresh accounts. :(

They're adding an x to the end of the name,.. right?

They should add name protection for both servers, if possible. Then you can make room on Blue without fear of losing your name before the merge. Or if you're someone that's only ever played on Green, nobody can swipe your name on Blue and cause an issue for you before the merge.

I just assumed the name would have an x after it or something similar.

Unlike others, I have all my chars on one account. Not possible to delete more than one or two.

I used the exact same names on green that I used on blue (which is also the same names from my time way back when on live). I am assuming they will do the x at the end or something like that. But I don't really care because I don't need two clerics and two druids on the same account on the same server. So even if they get deleted I wouldn't really care.

I considered playing a different class on green like a Monk or Warrior but I decided I am a druid and cleric at heart. They are the two classes I love so if it aint broke why fix it?
