Can see servers, but selecting any P99 server I get dropped to login screen
Hi there!
Trying in frustration to get connected to the P99 servers. I am/have/am using:
When launching the game, I enter my username and password and seem to successfully be logged in and am presented the server list. I select any of the P99 servers (I've tried red, green, blue, teal) and it immediately drops me back to the login screen with no error. I've logged through the forums looking to see if there was a fix that might work for my situation and have come up empty handed... Figured I'd make a post! My system specs: Windows 10 Pro build 1909 AMD Ryzen 9 3900X GeForce 1080 Ti 32GB ram my dbg.txt file: Code:

Updated to the V52B patch that dropped today and still having the same problem. :/

looking at your log file seems to indicate that you are being blocked. the login server and game server are on different ports. The game serving is being port blocked by your router or ISP.
Either unblock it or use a VPN. Many have reported using a VPN to solve issues like this. |

I had seen some comments about how people were having some success by removing their cpu overclock. This seemed... kinda silly. Like, how could this possibly have an affect? I was running a perfectly stable OC on my system (leaving FSB alone, just an increased CPU multiplier and some voltage adjustment). Perfectly stable in Prime95 / Cinebench / every game I've tried. Well. Reset my bios and... I am now on the character select/creation screen. I'll have to play around with restoring parts of my OC and seeing what changes. Maybe the CPU was too fast for Everquest? I really don't know. A very curious turn of events though! On the plus side, now I get to create a character to play on! |
Issues I've seen caused at WorldAuthenticate Checkpoint 3 are from CPU being overclocked at > 4.2ghz. Judging by your specs I think this might be the case for you too.
You can use AMD overdrive to setup a profile for P99 to underclock/not overclock beyond 4.2ghz. Here's a post on the daybreak forums about setting that up. These threads might give you some more solutions: * https://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/...please.212991/ * http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/sho...t=37521&page=4 * http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36707 |

Thanks for the links! I'll check them out :D |
For some reason 4.2ghz is the breaking point for the titanium client. You can also just disable overclocking in your BIOS (guide) for a quicker solution.
