Dual Monitor Dual Client to play on Blue/Green simultaneous
 

Here is the issue:

My main monitor is 1440p, side monitor is 1080p.
I have two separate EQ folders and shortcuts that I intended to use one for Green, one for Blue. I edited the eqclient file on one to read 1440p and the other 1080p. However, it doesnt matter which EQ folder I use they both open at 1440p. Is there a way to get one EQ window at 1440p and the other at 1080p?? Or do I just need to get two 1440p monitors? Lol

Cant you just change the 1440 to 1080 in game?

Was hoping for a solution that didnt involve fiddling around with settings every time I play, I'll try that tonight tho havent seen if that's viable

Fundamentally your text files in your EQ folder control your resolution (and lots of other stuff). If you want to change the resolution, you change the text file.

But that being said, people who want other forms of "customized" clients have found a solution. Essentially you make an eqclient.ini for each account (or monitor, or whatever), but name it say eqclient.widemonitor.ini.

Then you make a batch file for each "customized client". That file will do two things: 1) copy eqclient.widemonitor.ini to eqclient.ini, and 2) start up eqgame.exe.

Then, instead of running eqgame.exe directly (or a shortcut to it), as you normally would, you just run the appropriate batch file to start whichever configured client you want.

I thought that's what I was doing by having two separate EQ folders with two separate eqclient.ini setups with the two resolutions, but it sounds like it's more complicated than that
