Spawn, weapon, and NPC merchant dumps from mid-1999 and Jan 2000

Thought you'd find these of use Telin.

They are from http://k2.org which in late 99 seems to have been hosting ShowEQ. K2.org didn't preserve them but this other site called www.eqic.com did.

Opening the .xls I can see their created and modified dates are legit (check the Info tab). Spawn list is from Jan 15th 2000, weapons list is from Jan 6th 2000, and the necro merchant items list is from April 1999 - August 1999.

They have the inventories of the necro merchants in the Toxx forest hut which I think might be of particular interest.

No locs though.

The 'Count' field was not labelled in the sheet, but seems to be the highest index of the mob names, ie 00, 01, 02, etc. So 00 means there was only one mob in zone, and 11 means there were 12 mobs in zone. So I named it Count.

The provenance of the spawn list is indeed here, posted January 15th 2000:

Telin: I just realized that that Count field is super useful for figuring out expected newbie zone mob population. I know there were some questions around how many newb mobs should be up in e.g. Everfrost and Toxxulia... this gives us a snapshot of that and you can tune the spawn tables accordingly.

Just as interesting as the pre-vamp paw, is the hill giant population. I think this settles the question of the static spawns being insufficient.

Awesome find Dolalin, as usual!

Great find! I love that splitpaw list, maybe we could get a pre revamp paw now?
