Sham deity

Does deity matter for sham? Going to start tonight was going to do troll for regen but thinking ogre for meatyness or spell interruption. Troll better?

Either way both are evil does deity matter for any gear later dont want to screw up

You posed two questions, one about religion and one about race. Inny is the only important shaman deity since it gives you access to some very nice clickies. only trolls can pick this one.

Troll is a lot better for vanilla, kunar+is when it becomes quite debatable. A lot of people, most prominently those who prolly never even played a shaman in the first place think the bash stun immunity is super important. It's not. having something that helps .0001% of your playtime instead something helping 99.99% is just a bad idea. if you're dying kunark and beyond it will most likely because your slows keep getting resisted, regardless if ogre or troll. But if slow lands both ogres and troll will be able to easily cast spells between bashes.

This should have prolly been posted in the priests forum, though.

FSI edges out regen once the Shaman gets Torpor

99.99999% of shamans who ever play on these servers will never see that spell

Perhaps, but then you must also consider snare, especially after it starts stacking with root. i don't see ogres ever making up the difference.

Both are good choices, just don't go barb :p

speaking of the snare neck, when does that quest get added?

Barb is the best since it's the only one that can walk around the qeynos and kelethin area

I'm not sure how often you'd need Qeynos, but you can invis and wall bank in Felwithe - and the druid ring vendors sell to everyone ^^
