Have not played in 5 years - Character deleted?
 

Hi All,

I used to play between 2013 and 2014.
Logged in about 3 years ago once and my character was still there, sitting outside Karnor's castle (this I remember!).
I tried to log in today for Nostalgia's sake but saw that my (unique) character was deleted.

How can I restore the character please? (name was Imrahir)

Do you have the correct account and the server your character was on?

There was also an Inactive Character Wipe but if your character was above level 5 it should not meet the criteria

If none of the above applies, you can make a post in the Petition Forum to try and resolve

Yes I only had one account on green server (non PvP) and was able to log into the character selection "page", but the character had disappeared.
Was level 58 so not under lvl 5.

Gonna send a petition to try and recover the character.

Do you have the recent version of the patch installed? its on the home page at the top, project1999 patch files v.53

Hi Amroth,

When you get to the server selection screen, choose Green.

Then on the character creation screen, select Ogre then Warrior and press PLAY.

No did not install the new patch. Still managed to log into my account though.
Would not installing the latest patch be the source of this?

Btw just discovered there is a green server now. I used to be on blue (green did not exist back then).

Thanks for the feedback.
I for sure did not delete my own character.
About 3 to 4 years ago (by then I had stopped playing for 2/3 years already), I got curious and logged in again just to know if my character was still there: everything was fine and I could log in without any issues.

Now this was my unique character and I was never involved in any problematic issues (such as RMT...).
Used to be in a guild called Omni.

So not sure what happened there.

Already submitted a petition.

Kavious covered the possibilities regarding your character being deleted ... but that's most likely not the problem.

As Blake implied, most likely you don't have the latest patch, and when you don't have the latest patch and you login to P99, you see a character select screen full of empty slots. Patching with the latest patch fixes this.

Oh ok. Excellent then. Will install the newest version and see if I can retrieve my character.
