Cros in CT
 

I’m thinking about killing cros in CT but since i need to AFK alot is there a safe spot down there?

I'm pretty sure there's a safe spot for extended AFK only if you have hide.

Past the pit, the start of the alley is mostly safe, but there's a pather that will walk pretty much right up to the pit. This spot is safe until that pather repops, provided no one trains from further in (rare when I was there, FWIW). I think you'd need hide though for an extended AFK to be safe (I'd do this for hours sometimes). I leveled in both the pit and alley quite a bit (thanks for the guides loramin!) and would be pretty surprised if there's a safe spot for extended AFK without using hide.

Well it's been awhile, but I thought the bottom of the pit was a safe spot (and if not you can swim up and AFK in the hallway before the lizard men).

Honestly though that place is best for animal charming, or maybe duoing or something. At the very least to do it well you need Harmony, Pacify, or friends, because the mobs are clumped. Mages (who don't even get Root, let alone any agro reducers) are one of the worst possible classes for that spot.

As a Mage you can likely find much better places ... places where you can easily do only one mob at a time :) Depending on your exact level you might want to try the SK gnoll spires, for instance.

Considering their reply on heading to Najena to kill greens, I'm assuming the goal is actually to get focus items.

Whoops, missed that; yeah Najena is a much better place for Mages to solo farm them IMHO. On Green I actually did a ton of Najena with my Mage, so I can confirm it's a very "Mage-doable" zone.

CT is somewhere Mages can farm too though ... if they bring a friend.

its safe enough at the top of the water pillar where the two lizards are

you cannot afk in the gator pit or the gator tunnel inbetween the other pit. however you can levitate above the water on the deeper pit and be safe
