How will class population change when Kunark comes?
 

I imagine there will suddenly be 2-3x more Monks running around, maybe a few more Necros also?

Other than that though, what kind of class population changes will there likely be?

Those two get the biggest population increase. Rogues, Enchanters and Warriors tend to increase at Kunark also proportionally.

Hybrids will suffer greatly from no one wanting to group with them 55-60

Thats ok they'll be to busy clicking their guises in the mirror still.

Warrior moderate increase
necromancer moderate increase
Shaman moderate increase
SK/pal/ranger large decrease
Wizard moderate decrease
Magican moderate decrease
Druid moderate decrease
Clerics slight decrease
Enchanters slight decrease

All in a rush to invite those iksar monks that have an even worse penalty than the average hybrid has.

When Kunark opened on P99 class breakdown didn't change all that much other than the increase to monk population.

Isn’t their penalty the same as the hybrids’ (20% racial 20% class, for a total of 40%)? Not worse. And definitely not worse than a Troll or Ogre SK

The penalties are multiplicative, not additive .So not 1.2+1.2, but 1.2 x1.2.

20% Race combined with 20% Class penalty equals 44%, not 40%.

The penalties mean each level requires 20% more experience, but they multiply, so you require 20% more for your race, then its recalculated to be 20% more then that new value which is 44%

shamans. hundreds of awful shamans as far as the eye can see.
