Bodybound keys vs Soulbound - Kunark dungeons
 

On green does anyone have a sense which is accurate for this server:

1. Kunark dungeon keys will be soulbound right away at kunark release

or

2. Kunark dungeon keys will be bodybound for first 3 months of kunark release

On Blue, the quested keys all went with you to your bind point. IIRC that was a day one mechanic (but that was 9.5 years ago...). Probably very safe to assume the same will be true on Green. I can't remember if any Velious keys do the same, I didn't play much Blue velious...

Bodybound keys are a joke. I know it was classic, but a terrible thing.

*Keyed Dungeons*

The key for Charasis (Howling Stones) is now NODROP per the patch
message from a couple of weeks ago. Furthermore, when your character
dies, keys for Charasis, Sebilis, and Veeshan's Peak, will no longer
remain with your corpse, but will instead return with your character to
its bind point. We made this change to reduce the difficulty and
corpse-loss potential of these zones, and eliminate the need to do the
key quests multiple times.

Based on this I'd expect ~ 3 months of so called "bodybound" keys unless they patch it early to ease up the demand for keys.

Totally forgot about this. I know Sleepers key stays on your body, but forgot about HS & Seb.

With McCoy's classic patch reference I found this dev reference:

It seems McCoy may be right if dev reference is still the case for Green. Dev reference is 10 years old tho.


Can anyone else who remembers Blue server day 1 Kunark launch back up Uygi's memory of day 1 soulbound keys?
