Any information on when kunark is actually going be released?

Will there be lists, and what items will be listed?

Has the list system changed at all?


Is TD going to allow binds or not?

Expect TD to allow binds, of course! That's what P99 does. Put in the stuff that was nerfed...leave it in for a while...then nerf it.

As to the rest, we are all awaiting an official announcement from server staff. Don't believe anything unless it comes from the staff.

But its been said changes/differences that only existed a very short time won't be implemented.

I think many people will be very pissed if they don't allow TD binding out of the gate and I'd assume they generally want the playerbase to be happy, to the extent that's possible given their mission statement.

On the one hand, firepot binding is kind of like a poor man's PoK, and I personally thought PoK was the beginning of the end for what made EQ special. However firepots have many notable downsides compared to PoK; you can never bind anywhere else if you want to retain the ability to gate to them post-nerf, there are no velious gates because it didn't exist yet, you can potentially get chain killed by fay, and if you're a DE shadowknight it's kind of only good for quicker CR's since you can't gate anyway without a 1k potion. So it's not nearly as classic-breaking to the porting community as PoK books.

This has been my closing argument.

It would only be for 4 days. What about all people on vacation right now? People taking a break? People at work not being able to play right now? Characters created in 5 days? People not knowing about it at all and learning about it later, etc. etc.

It's an unbalanced issue, exploitable only by the few. If it wasn't, there wouldn't be a need to remove bind opportunity at all. It's like PoK unlocked for first 1000 people to log in, screw everyone else who's late.

Well that's why I detailed the ways in which it is not the same as PoK, but I take your point.

I really expect an announcement on the home page. It would be extremely poor form to just release a major expansion with no announcement.

In regards to binding in TD it should be possible for only the first few days of kunark launch then stopped.
