Lvl 60 Iksar Gearing Question
 

I have some specific gearing questions for someone who understands gear and SK very well. I would appreciate it if you fit into this description and have a few moments to answer specific questions on particular items vs other items to msg me. Thanks.

Why not ask in public this thread might help others too. I am a 60 raid geared SK I might be able to answer your questions.

My questions were basically a compare items I have vrs potential items I’m thinking of getting. Wanted to know if I should upgrade each and why or why not.

Item I have vrs item I’m considering

I have Triabal War Boots considering SS boots
I have Idol of the Thorned considering Eye of Narandi
I have Black Bear Pelt Cloak considering Hierophant’s Cloak
I have Will of Innoruk considering SS BP or possibly Vindi BP

AC above all else

As a tank I would suggest HP>AC>Resists>Mana>Effect as a general guideline. There is also a consideration to cost that you should put into play. Youre going to get very litle for the money out of that cloak upgrade for the cost. SS BP is a solid item but Vindi BP doesnt require 15k in Flawless Diamonds (and is better anyhow).

The range item slot falls perfectly into the guidelines where the eye would be more raw HP but depending on your gear the idol is likely right in the same ballgame.

Lodizal back, hiero to swap. Lots of casters in Kunark and velious.

You need ATK and AC, if you’re solo, which it sounds like. You’ll lack the dps of a monk and the mitigation of a warrior, so you need to accommodate for both.

Also, stacking AoB on an Iksar is going to net you a heck of a lot more in the long run, and off tanking shit that matters, you’ll greatly benefit from the resists on Vindi bp/boots, over AoW BP.

Join riot, afk 2 months, get gear

AC above all else.

Just keep stacking AC. Until 1400ish.
