Wizard and belly casters
 

Someone needs to educate me, I've been told Wizards are great on raids in classic due to 32k hp limit. However Naggy, Vox and Phinny are all belly caster. The moment I get close enough to hit with a nuke, I die due to aoe. How in the world can a wizard do any dps to a belly caster without dieing?

Buy resist gear. They are short fights and you don't need much mana. As you can see dead dps is zero dps.

Just nuke from range, do 0 damage sit down and med. Not like anyone will notice or care with the other 200 people there killing the bosses in 10 seconds.

After 3 straight raids of getting 1 nuke off and dieing, that's all I do.

Like others have said, I dunno whats going on but your guild should be able to provide some good advice. The main thing is that you need to wear resist gear so that the enemy spells don't decimate you.

100% full resist gear. When you go against VOX, SV cold gear stack it heavy and deep

When you go against nagafen??? Yes, SV fire gear.

Trakanon? SV poison gear.

Thats what all those seemingly stupid and useless stats are for. There is actually more than just the INT, mana, and HP stat in this game.

if you are going to raids where you are able to kill naggy, vox, etc

you should know you need good resist already

Use your rune spells (diamondskin, manaskin, etc.)

Maximize resists and hp through gear and buffs.

For indoor dragons, you can nuke in between AoEs and be protected by line of sight.

This gave me a chuckle, you should have diamondskin or whatever and have a full suit of fire or cold resist depending which dragon you go kill, also keep in mind if the dragon is being pushed you need to start casting ahead of it so the nuke goes off when it is vertical. The belly isnt the belly its more like the chest

And honestly theres no challenge when everything is zerged down by 200 people in 5 seconds i have no idea why people dont try red where you have to small man dragons and content with risk of pvp 10x better

Exactly, most classes can just show up and /afk at a raid and it won't change the outcome with the numbers that show up. The biggest challenge is the race and even then there isn't much competition with how often ST wins them. If this dude actually wants to be useful at raids he should practice racing. Wizards get one of the best FTE clickies for races.

When are the earthquakes / simulated repops going to start happening?
