Can we restore Splitpaw scroll XP now that the one nerd turned in his 5000 scrolls?

It's not worth running to Qeynos for 50% of the exp it used to be, the max level achievements have already been given out, and no one else has the time to stockpile a billion scrolls.

Devs answered this already and it wasn't because of one epic nerd from 2020: https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...d.php?t=373833

The change was based on a comment from Everlore circa 2000: https://web.archive.org/web/20030228...e=35&id=184420

The comment "1/3 a bub I THINK" did it? dang. I guess it's better than nothing. I wish there was a way to fully restore the good old websites I loved looking through everlore eqlizer eqcastersrealm rangersglade and all the other ones I cna't remember.

Sounds like that was based on turning in all 4 at once. Isn't it supposed to be better exp to turn them in separately?

Also, couldn't this be verified on one of the official TLP servers?

Wouldn’t be surprised if they just wanted to find some excuse to turn the exp down because of Castle. And that’s what they found

As obnoxious as Castle is, I’m betting they just sorta ballparked quest xp originally, then never really had a strong reason to go back and look at it. As the p99 meta morphed into “scrolls are good xp” they maybe thought about it but it took a massive abuse of the system for them to get around to digging up any reference to an (obscure on live) quest and then fix it.

So I doubt they did this out of spite, but rather this just highlighted a minor balance problem in a glaring way.

The things people will do for shortcuts.

Remember Chardok AOE and people not letting adventurers do any hunting in there because it hurt their quickfire XP/plat grab machine?

Enjoy the journey.

They guessed original exp for quest (~250-275k raw exp.) It's not that the single comment (116,800 exp) is super convincing. It's that it's all we have from the era.

4 scrolls gets you one exp event and a lame item. Or you can turn in scrolls individually each for an exp event.

As far as we know, turning in 4 scrolls or 1 scroll gave the same amount of exp.

Who knows for sure?

Looks like concrete evidence to me.

Pretty much this I'd imagine.
