Extremely minor feature requests
Keeping in mind that /guildinvite in the same zone is great for actually meeting your guild officers before joining a guild and keeping guilds more "private", I'm not saying anything about /guildinvite or commands relating to effecting the game, but only these:
* Global /guildkick (or /guildremove, whatever the command was) - if someone really screws up in the guild, an officer shouldn't have to stop what he's doing and travel all over the world to track someone that may be anonymous and not be there by the time he gets there! Officers should be granted this feature globally to do it from anywhere they are * Global /invite (groups) - This isn't anything close to inviting people to the guild - this is just for easier time to chat with buddies grouping up that are coming from all different parts that want to meet up somewhere (instead of all 6 people having to tell all 6 people individually what's going on, if any changes occur, or if complications happen / get lost). * Global /disband name - If someone says "later guys, got other things to do" and zones out without disbanding, the group leader literally cannot click his name and click "disband" otherwise it disband the entire group. This is just frustrating when people do this, but a lot of people seem to just assume you can kick someone out of group if they are zoned out. If there's another way to do this without disbanding the entire group, let me know * Group leader auto leader - When the leader leaves the group, don't make it disband the entire group - lots of people seem to do this out of QQ. The group leader gets pissy and leaves and it disbands the entire group. The majority of it seems to happen, though, relating to above when they think they can disband/kick a group member out that is already in a different zone. This disbands the entire group as well. * LD notices - Letting us know when a group member has been disconnected instead of just having them immediately leave the group and everyone go "wtf our healer ditched us without even telling us mid battle!" * Enable private channels so buddies of different guilds/groups can chat together /join <x channel> Note: Thank you for the feature letting us know when a group member leaves the zone! Very cool. I believe these changes would improve the social aspect of this game that we know and love in eq. Comments? |
/invite wasn't a classic feature till much later, and even then it only worked in zone if I'm not mistaken.

There are many non-classic features that we have to improve the performance of our game that does not generally change anything significant. In classic EQ, I never saw "x player has left the zone" message for groups. I never got full mana when I dinged. I never saw a cool looking "ding" swirly thing around me to let everyone know I dinged. I never had any of those features in classic eq, but I -love- them and doesn't truly effect the classic experience - i'm sure everyone else agrees that they enjoy these "little bonus" features as well.
This is one of those features. Very minor - most people wouldnt even take notice to them .. but significant enough to improve our gameplay without taking away from the classic experience. |
