So what happened to the patch??
 

Last night Rogean came on and gave us some really cheesy jokes, then an earthquake, and then proceeded to broadcast the server was coming down for a patch. I wake up to find not a single word of such a thing happening!
Anyone know the deal?

Transatlantic Rampage got Rogean to change his mind since there weren't enough members on to mobilize for spawns after the server comes up.

Database maintenance != patch

I thought rogean mentioned when servers came up that an actual patch was coming soon?

At ~5am the server was taken down for database maintenance, not a patch. At least according to the serverwide broadcasts. And it was only supposed to be for 15 minutes, I didn't stick around to find out how long it actually took.

He said the patch wasn't ready as he needed to prep it and that it would be done at a later date. Last night there was only some quick database work done and the was server back up quickly, probably in less than 15 minutes.

Shortly after Rogean made a chuck Norris Joke about the end of the world prophecy, he mentioned that "the servers would be coming down in an hour or two for a Patch".

I can appreciate him or the other GM's changing their minds about it, and only doing Database maintenance.

That does not change the fact that the last thing I heard of, was a PATCH.

I logged an hour after he stated this. Apprently when the servers were acutally brought down, they said it was for "Database maintenance". I was not on for this.

So my thread is justified, I was curious as to what happened with it. Thanks for letting me know about the "Database maintenance". Im sure that was planned anyways, along with this "patch" that never was.
