This is no different.

There are some horrendous side effect in kids from Covid.

For example, kids who develop heart problems due to MIS-C will need regular visits with a cardiologist.

Yes it is different. The required vaccinations you are talking about took decades to develop and test for both safety and efficacy. We have literally decades of data to go by. Meanwhile the covid vaccine is about 1 year old. There is an *obvious* scientific difference between those two scenarios, especially when the disease that these covid mRNA vaccines are supposed to prevent is 1) not very dangerous compared to polio or even the measles, and 2) is *especially* not dangerous to children. Most of the required vaccines you're talking about are for diseases that are *especially dangerous* to children, that's why they are required.

Past vaccine disasters show why rushing a coronavirus vaccine now would be 'colossally stupid'

The government launched the program in about seven months and 40 million people got vaccinated against swine flu, according to the CDC. That vaccination campaign was later linked to cases of a neurological disorder called Guillain-Barre syndrome, which can develop after an infection or, rarely, after vaccination with a live vaccine.

Does it make me a bad person that I think unmedicated mental illness is often pretty funny?

Hey Jibartik, ever worry about the evils of the government and Bill Gates trying to control you with 5G? If so, I have a necklace that is probably amazing for your ‘perfectly normal mind.’ Don’t let ‘them’ or the ‘voices’ tell you it has side effects.

Good thing the mRNA vaccines do not use the live virus. In fact we are getting away from using the dead virus too since genetic material can be picked up by the bacteria in the gut. Less chimeras.

Oh and you forgot some of the quote:

"Unfortunately, due to that vaccine, and the fact that it was done so hastily, there were a few hundred cases of Guillain-Barre, although it's not definitive that they were linked," Kinch said.

The CDC said the increased risk was about 1 additional case of Gullain-Barre for every 100,000 people who got the 1976 swine flu vaccine. Due to this small association, the government stopped the program to investigate.
